LaRue RISR™ – Reciprocating Inline Stock Riser

Achieve the perfect cheek weld without sacrificing charging handle access.

The LaRue Tactical RISR™ (Reciprocating Inline Stock Riser) is designed for shooters running optics or elevated rail systems who need additional cheek support for consistent sight alignment. Unlike traditional fixed cheek risers that interfere with charging handle travel, the RISR™ features a spring-loaded reciprocating design that moves rearward with the charging handle and automatically returns forward when released.

This innovative system allows you to maintain a comfortable cheek position while still fully operating your rifle—even with the stock collapsed.

Constructed from durable glass-reinforced polymer, the RISR™ is lightweight, rugged, and built to withstand demanding use in the field. Installation is simple and requires only a few minutes using the included hardware.

Designed specifically to fit Magpul CTR® stocks without modification, the RISR™ provides a reliable solution for shooters seeking improved ergonomics and consistent shooting performance.

Key Features

  • Reciprocating design allows full charging handle travel

  • Improves cheek weld for rifles with raised optics or rails

  • Spring-loaded system moves with the charging handle

  • Durable glass-reinforced polymer construction

  • Quick and easy installation with included hardware

  • Designed to fit Magpul CTR® stocks with no modification required

  • Made in Texas, USA

Upgrade your rifle’s ergonomics with a cheek riser that works with your rifle, not against it.

Great product. Works as advertised. Made a complete difference in natural alignment with my EO Tech and man/machine interface. The more "in-line" with the bore a shooter can become to achieve consistency, the better the hit. This RISR delivers on that in spades.

Well folks this is the cats meow! I was using a glunge I had made to give me that little bit of height I needed on my AR. Mine, you had to remove it to initially charge the rifle. The bolt hold open took care of the rest. If you had a malfunction again I had to take my glunge off the rifle! NOT THE BEST SOLUTION!! With the RISR I get just the height I needed and IT CAN STAY ON THE GUN!! Thank you LaRue. I will be looking for more of these on new builds. By the way I read your card, the doozies you speak of are no more than thieves in my opinion. Please do not yell and scream at your workers, either they understand customer serves or they should seek employment else where.

Works as advertised, raises cheek weld without interference with charging handle operation. It does make the stock wider more like a B5 SOPMOD, or similar stock, so that is something to consider if you prefer a more narrow stock.

This is a must for you Magpul stock. It's the perfect height and is built well. Don't waste your time trying to cut a cheap cheek weld to fit. This is a perfect fit and operates flawlessly. You cannot beat it for $50.

Love the LaRue Risr. Best cheek riser for the CTR and allows operation of the charging handle. Perfect height for 1.93” mounts. A little too short for 2.26” mounts. LaRue should make a version for 2.26” mounts.

After having this on my OBR's and trying various other stock setups, I've come back to a CTR/RISR combo for nearly every competition rifle I own and have found this gives me more freedom and flexibility for changing the length of pull while keeping a cheekweld behind a 1.9" height scope mount.
