LaRue RISR™ – Reciprocating Inline Stock Riser
Achieve the perfect cheek weld without sacrificing charging handle access.
The LaRue Tactical RISR™ (Reciprocating Inline Stock Riser) is designed for shooters running optics or elevated rail systems who need additional cheek support for consistent sight alignment. Unlike traditional fixed cheek risers that interfere with charging handle travel, the RISR™ features a spring-loaded reciprocating design that moves rearward with the charging handle and automatically returns forward when released.
This innovative system allows you to maintain a comfortable cheek position while still fully operating your rifle—even with the stock collapsed.
Constructed from durable glass-reinforced polymer, the RISR™ is lightweight, rugged, and built to withstand demanding use in the field. Installation is simple and requires only a few minutes using the included hardware.
Designed specifically to fit Magpul CTR® stocks without modification, the RISR™ provides a reliable solution for shooters seeking improved ergonomics and consistent shooting performance.

Excellent shipping & customer service. Installed the riser in 15 min & its the perfect height for an AR with a Nikon P223 with a Burris Peeper Mount.

Installed this on my CTR stock to create a better cheek weld. The spring tension is pretty strong, and pulling back the charging handle takes a little effort when the stock is fully collapsed. But I usually have mine locked in the 3rd position, so it doesn't have much to slide and isn't an issue. I put a tiny bit of gun grease on the parts that rub, and I'm sure it'll break in to some degree. Only thing I wish it had was hex head screws in place of the Phillips head. I just think it would look a lot nicer.

This is my first experience with LaRue, and I am IMPRESSED! Ordered by phone and CS rep. was pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient. Then came the package... Fast. And extra freebies inside were nice, too. One thing that especially impressed me was an extra screw in pkg... When was the last time you saw that on a Chinese product?! Great quality compared to a RISR clone I got off eBay, and cost only a little more. Only thing(s) I didn't like were (1) the fact that the charging handle won't lock the bolt back unless the stock is extended (but LaRue didn't design it for that, nor did they describe it as having that capability), and (2) it's just a little high for my Nikon P223 scope with Burris 1" QD PEPR mount. I think I can Dremel it down just a tad and get a better fit, but some adjustability designed into it would be a plus. STILL, REALLY NICE PRODUCT AND SERVICE ALL THE WAY AROUND... 6 DILLO'S!!

As someone who takes a very low cheek weld this is almost a necessity. The build quality is impressive and it works really well.

This is the perfect riser if you are using a very tall optic mount. I really like the concept of the sliding cheek rest which enables you to cycle the charging handle even when the stock is at its shortest length. Others require you to extend your stock, cycle the charging handle, then return to the shorter position. This can be hazardous to your health if you are in an extremus situation. Its construction is sturdy and Is easy to install (took about 5 minutes). The only maintenance is a couple of drops of oil on the spring on occasion.

When I received the RISR I was quite pleased when I opened the box. First, the RISR itself fits and functions well. It feels quite well engineered and the manufacturing quality is nice. The nice thing about it is how well it works. Lay your cheek on it and you get a perfect position for my nikon scope and mount. It was also really nice of LaRue to throw in a few toys just because. They seem like a top notch company and I look forward to doing business with them again.

I'm adding to the last posting on the height of the sliding portion of the riser. I have to give the riser, Pod and CTR a 5, period. They all functions as designed with respect to charging handle and tripod capability. I have a both a Vortex 6-24 by 50 (35mm tube) with a LaRue mount and, a NF 3.5-15-50......with a LaRue mount. Both mounts keep the scopes very low to the rail.......that's good and reduces nearness of target messing with the paralax. It also, makes for not having to mess with your head/cheek......ie., your eye often is at the same level as the middle of the scope......which is what you want. When I installed the CTR and POD all was well and, I loved it (threw the PRS in the closet and got rid of about 1 lb of weight and, got back my sliding butt stock, which meant I could use my old carrying case again, yippee.....right ;-D........But, when I installed the sliding riser, like the posting before me, I discovered that my entire head/eye level moved from center of scope lens, to the top of the scope lens.......no amount of turning twisting of this thick head would change that. When I removed the riser and my cheek was resting where it normally did.........all was normal again........On the 300 blk out I have iron sights as well, I discovered that the same approx 1/2" height rising of my cheek applied to them as well........as they sit about the same level as the scopes do. Soooooo......my bad for not thinking of that possibility........was so excited about finding a 3 fer.....LOL.......I just did it. But, I want to stress that LaRue as usual delivered on time, quality product and as described........and the sliding riser is quality and thumbs up........it just has to work on "your" boomstick, if it's like mine, you can, add a 1/2" riser under your optic if you need to......you can get those (or any size 1/4" to 3/5" I think I've seen) on line for very few pennies so no sacrificing is necessary, wanted to make that point clear................The CTR and the LaRue POD and the monopod (mine are from Accu), are priceless........Yall, Shoot Safe!

I bought my RISR to use on my LWRCI M6A2 SPR with a vortex 4-16 viper pst with an ADM recon mount that I'd purchased before dealing with Larue. I have peasant cheek bones not quite high and not real low. For me the RISR is too high, but for my wife it fits fine. Just know that it adds a good 1/2 inch to the stock. I must say that my "unboxing experience" was honestly the best that I've ever had from any gun company that I've purchased from in the last eight years. I got 3 copy's of the constitution, 2 product catalogs, 2 awesome bumper stickers and something called a battlefield mixer. I can only assume that u you use the useless bit of pic rail on most gas guns to hold the paint can filled with margarita mix while you use a slide fire stock. That's what I call shaken not stirred. 007 has nothing on my cleaver Texas friends.
