as advertised. well-built, solid and as expected quality from LaRue. Great for my son who needs a little help getting a good check rest. Note: Parts shipped with screws that were 1/16 to 1/8 too short and would not allow mating up with the plate underneath the stock. I called LaRue and they shipped me the correct screws in short order. I had great customer service via the phone transaction to get the screws sorted out.

This is the ideal addition to a Magpul CTR for use with a magnified optic. The cheek weld is perfect every time in any stock position, and it really does solve the charging handle issue without impeding anything. It doesn’t add an appreciable amount of weight either, and it matches well aesthetically. Great idea Larue!

Well, I've waited several years for this item and the price was right. I watched the video of the SAS operator in the recent attack in Kenya and he had a LaRue Tactical RISR on his issued rifle, if this operator is carrying your product into battle l'm happy. Keep up the good work.

Superb and simple! Very well engineered and easy to install. The RISR allows me to raise my stockweld on my POF-USA gas piston rifles. I am now a LaRue customer for all time!

It doesn't magically turn your rifle into an OBR (would that it could...) but the cheek-weld is certainly helpful. It mounts fairly easily and works smoothly. Be aware that it's got its own spring, so if you're on a 7.62 rifle, you will be battling both the heavy buffer spring *and* the RISR. For a manly, manly man like me, it only slightly makes me cry, but the ability to actually line up with a scope is worth it. Make sure you need the extra cheek-weld height; I found this *doesn't* let me line up on my 5.56 rifle, but is perfect on my 7.62.
