LaRue Stealth M4 Billet Upper Receiver

Just got it yesterday so not able to build on it yet. Gave it to my Boston Terrier as a chew toy and she didn't even scratch the finish. Great LaRue quality.

I bought this part for a custom build and I believe it to be an extremely quality part. Just like other people I had to fit the pin holes, which can take a bit of work, but it is well worth the time and money! I don't even need a tensioning pin because everything fits so tight! With its mild billet look it was perfect for my build. Not a lot of bulk, but still gives a custom look!

First I will say this is my first build! When I received my upper my first impression was very nice! then I put it together with my lower and Hum, to my surprise it didn’t seem to fit! The front tab of the upper (the pivot pin tab) was a perfect fit but that rear tab (the take down tab) did not seem to fit into the lower body. I taped it in with my hand and it went down maybe a quarter of an inch BUT getting it back out was a bit scary, as in I didn’t know if I could, but did. A buddy of mine has the same exact lower as I but he built his AR using a cheap complete upper and said his went in no problem, so I headed over to his house with my upper and lower in hand to compare. Everything fits exactly the same on both, it does not look like my lower is the problem, So I am left with is something wrong with my upper? I was having a hard time with that because all the reviews praise their “Precision Machining”! So how could mine be a lemon? Well, I called LaRue the next morning and spoke with “Tony as I remember, (hopefully I got that name right it was days ago now!) But anyway, he said that when they build their complete guns and break them down for shipping they “often” have to well, go to some degree of difficulty getting them apart again, BUT he said it will loosen up in time. They make them very tight on purpose but he would be willing to take mine back and he would personally try to find one that is a bit looser on whatever he could test it in. I said great, will try that. After hanging up I said to myself OK, if that is true then I will use the front as leverage to get it apart again SO, it took some real whacking with my hand to get it to seat but I did and was able to get it out by lifting on the front and after some 10 times or so I put some frog lube on the tab and keep going and about 20 minutes of that it is now a ‘Perfect” fit! I love it! Pops in and out as a perfect match. It did just need to be worked in but there is no wobble, wiggle or movement at all even with no pins in it, again a PERFECT fit! Thanks LaRue! OH by the way, my buddy’s has some play in its fit showing you get what you pay for! I called Tony back and said never mind were good and thank you for telling me about the fit!

Excellent products, better than excellent service! I ordered every thing I could for my upper assembly from LaRue, Barrel, STEALTH Billet Upper LT007-A3, LaRue Tactical AR15 13.2, 18" 5.56 Stealth Barrel, the quality of every part of my order was flawless. UPS did mangle the box and lose the barrel out of the original order. I called and a replacement barrel was on its way immediately, bad performance from UPS Great service from LaRue.

Fit of the upper to my LaRue lower was great. I was a little surprised to see that the finish did not match my lower.

Superb fit and finish. No burrs, precision fit with the Mega lower, in fact I had to hand finish the take down and pivot lugs to enable a perfect coupling with the lower. Beautiful and flawless nitride finish. Strong recommendation for this upper. Larue nailed this.

Machine work and finish is amazing. It fits perfectly in my Spikes lower; zero play. I can't wait to finish assembly amd shoot this thing!

Excellent fit on my krieger barrel, very tight. Used a spikes lower and they had a very tight fit to one another as well. Color was off on the finish just a little compared to the spikes lower and the rail I used but I'm cerakote the whole gun anyway. Overall great product.
