LaRue RAT™ Stock

The LaRue RAT™ Stock is a rugged, precision-engineered adjustable stock designed for AR-15 rifles using Mil-Spec receiver extensions. Built with simplicity and durability in mind, the RAT Stock features a unique two-stage trigger adjustment mechanism that allows shooters to easily change length of pull while maintaining solid lockup on each position.

CNC-machined internal components provide smooth operation and dependable engagement, while the snug internal fit eliminates unwanted play on the buffer tube. The result is a stable platform that enhances control and consistency.

Ambidextrous 1/4" QD swivel sockets and 1" sling slots provide flexible sling attachment options, and the locking rear buttplate opens to reveal internal storage compartments designed to hold cleaning kit components.

I absolutely love this stock. I will be honest, when I first went to put it on I thought maybe it was defective. The stock wasn't going on the tube more that an inch or two. After playing with it a few minutes I came to realize that it was just that tight a fit. After getting it on the LaRue buffer tube it was perfect! Operates just as it should and extremely easily. After going in and out of the positions a couple times it slides much better now and I wouldn't replace it for anything! Tight, great fit, feels great against the cheek and tucked into the shoulder! Another great product from LaRue!

first off I got to say this people love to buy those cheap 10 to 15 dollar buffer tubes and want to blame the lose fit of stock on the stock it self well I I have found out if you buy a better buffer tube the fit exceeds expectation the whole mil spec thing is way over used ,this is the second stock I've bought from these guys and love both of them I also have the a peg grip as well BUY QUALITY AND YOU ONLY CRT ONCE if you start your ar at that dollar ar store then you should stay there

Just received my RAT stock w/ buffer tube combo and it works awesome! It has a very slight amount of play but is negligible at best. The trigger mechanism is flawless and the knob up front for mounting the stock functions perfectly. Definitely a Larue quality piece. Five Stars for sure!

Nice stock. Has a little wobble for all u that care. I don't. The trigger system is amazing, the ergonomics are pretty nice, the weight is acceptable. Overall good deal.

I bought the basic buttstock without the buffer and kit. Installation was a snap and fit was perfect. I question those complaints about rattle and wiggle - this is a GI design where quick, simple replacement of parts in the field are required. I expect a small (and I mean SMALL) amount of play in the fit, but that's so it can be quickly changed out. That's exactly what I got. lf I wanted a supertight fit, I suppose I could rig some sort of a simple shim on the buffer tube to make me happy. Guys, remember, we are handling a GI piece of equipment, just like a GI 1911 where the slide moves just a tiny bit on the frame. If I want a perfect fit, I move into the higher priced realm, although there usually isn't a corresponding increase in accuracy. So, LaRue, stay true to the MilSpec and keep on producing the best parts ever. In case you are wondering, yeah, I'm a Texan and I am damned proud of this Leander outfit!!

I purchased this stock to go with a new build I'm doing. Since I live in Texas it arrived in one day and was perfectly packaged with the traditional LaRue extras. This stock fits incredibly snug to a VLTOR A5 buffer tube setup and works like a charm. It has a little weight (more than I expected, but it's certainly not heavy) to the stock and feels incredibly solid and well made. Gotta say I'm really impressed with the stock. Well done LaRue.

Easy to install. Feels solid and tight on buffer tube. Like the trigger pull.
