Like everything from larue these are great. These look and feel fantastic on my ddm4. My only complaint is that there is not enough to cover an entire rifle even with a few accessories. Also if a dillo is the proper tool for removing these, one should be included in the kit. A plastic one would be nice for not scratching the rail. I love the idea behind these, but it will be a pain come cleaning time. Another great product larue!

I ordered the LaRue Index Clips based off of all the reviews and was absolutely sold with the pictures that showed the pressure switch cable management clips. When the box arrived at my house it was four times the size I thought it was going to be and heavy as hell. Before I opened the box I was almost doubting my purchase because if it was going to add close to the amount of weight as the box that I was holding I would have to be Arnolds size in Predator to hold up my AR-15 for more than a few minutes. But when I opened the box, to my surprise there was a ton of swag in it as well (Dillo Dust Dry Rub, two bumper stickers, three small copies of The Constitution of The United States, pamphlet sized calatog of other products LaRue had to offer and the Dillo Beverage Entry Tool (Which is hugely important)). When I got over the fact that LaRue pretty much gave me the equivalent of what I paid for the Index Clips in swag I started to finally put the IndexClips on my Black Rain Ordnace PG-9 Norguard .223/5.56 AR-15. And boy are those tiny little Index Clips tight. I ended up using a small rubber mallet to tap on most of the Index Clips onto my AR-15 quad railing. The Index Clips had a nice positive snap when they attached to the rail. If there was an Index Clip that I didn't like the location of, the Dillo Beverage Entry Tool almost seemed designed to remove these mispositioned Index Clips firstly and secondly to open a few cold ones; it was the perfect prying tool. After about 25 to 30 minutes of placing the Index Clips where I wanted them as well as using the cable management clips to channel my pressure switch cable; my rifle setup was complete. The Index Clips do an excellent job of smoothly streamlining the sharp lines of the my quad rail. I would absolutely recommend the LaRue Index Clips to anyone (even if you do not get all of the crazy swag I listed the product went above my expectations) looking to streamline your rail and cover those sharp unused edges.

I was using Magpul XTM covers, but they left the handguard too bulky for my dainty hands. I gave these a slot and boy, what a difference! Much lower profile. The other advantage being the ability to fit any rail space, given that they consume one slot at a shot. My only initial complaint was that they were difficult to remove. That was until I caught the part about using a Dillo foot (which they have likely included!). Easy-peasy, now! If you are looking to slim down your rail+covers but aren't in love with ladder covers, I think you'll like these.

I really dig these. Let's face it your rifle must look and perform well. These take care of the looks. If you use the dillo tool supplied it's a snap putting them on. If you are thinking about them just buy them I assure you it's a good purchase.

As always, the quality is unmatched. I used these on a Springfield Armory SOCOM II with the VLTOR rail cluster. For those who have never shot one, this CQB rifle and its sister the SOCOM 16, will rattle your teeth out. I have tried so-called competing products from Magpul, Tapco and ProMag and they all come loose and fall off the SOCOM. Same story with those santoprene rubber rail covers. Only LaRue developed these babies from the ground up to handle recoil above 5.56. Not only do they cover unused rail space eliminating sharp edges, but they also act as wire looms for remotely switched devices such as lasers and lights, so no more zip ties. Because they come as individual pieces, they truly are index clips and not just rail covers. This is immensely helpful in quickly locating grip points by feel in the heat of the moment. Simple, well thought out product. Top notch quality.

These are a great alternative to the typical rail covers. I especially like the integrated hooks and hold-downs to manage the wires of rail accessories. I had bought a couple sets of the single color clips (OD) to match my OD Magpul grip, stock and FG, but this "camo" pattern works out MUCH better.

Can't speak to long term viability, but can to fit, finish, and purpose. Fit the Scar 17 like a glove and provide extra grip while rounding out sharp edges on the Scar's rails. Buy 'em. You'll be glad you did.
