These clips are exactly what I had been searching for. The single slot design of each clip allows infinite customization of your grip no matter which rail accessories you use. This set includes clips which securely hold wiring for laser and light switches for a neat professional installation. Another great product from LaRue Tactical.

The index clips work great. I have them mounted on Spike's 13" SAR. None of them have fallen off or melted do to high temperatures. The clips designed to hold the tape switch wire are doing their job by holding the wire where it is suppose to be, snag free and away from the hot metal on the rail.

In building my pretty-basic carbine I avoided decoration. I like the simplicity that results from pure functionality. But I wanted to fill the unused Picatinny slots to prevent the cheese-grater effect and also to keep the rails from getting nicked and banged up. That got me to these LaRue clips. And then I decided to get them in red. I have to say they look great on my all-black AR, and they're also a recognition feature. Put my carbine in a pile with a dozen other black ARs, and I'd easily and quickly be able to identify my own. ("This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine.") I think of these red-on-black clips as being similar to invasion stripes! (Check Wikipedia if you don't get the reference.)
