LaRue Tactical A-PEG Grip
The LaRue Tactical A-PEG™ Grip is designed to deliver improved control, comfort, and consistency. Developed with input from precision shooters, the A-PEG features ambidextrous ergonomics, a natural grip angle, and textured side panels that enhance control in all shooting conditions.
Inspired by the natural geometry of the human hand, the A-PEG includes flat indexing surfaces and sculpted palm swells that promote a stable grip and help square the rifle to the target. Its A2 footprint ensures compatibility with most AR-15 style grip interfaces.
Available in Regular (for 5.56 receivers) and Extended (for 7.62 receivers) versions, the A-PEG offers improved fit and comfort across multiple rifle platforms.

I am going to rate this grip 4 out of 5 armadillos. I was thinking of giving it 3 armadillos because the texture is extremely coarse. I mean, I chose coarse, so that's on me. It straight up hurts to hold, which would be great with gloves or real working man hands, not my cushy office hands. I assumed the smooth option was just that - smooth, with no texture. That's not correct. So, I got what I asked for, but it was too aggressive for me. My only other gripe is the ridge in the middle that wraps around is a bit too pronounced. It creates a "hot spot" that is not very ergonomic for me. If it were to be ground down a bit, I would like it a lot more. I like the flared base, grip angle, and price a lot. I wish the hole in the middle was large enough for my 1/4" hex socket, but instead, I have to use a hex key which sucks but isn't the end of the world. In the end, I am probably not going to use this grip. It will stay on my shelf as spare parts or if I am building a gun in a pinch. However, for only $12, I'm not complaining.

The A-PEG grip has become my go-to grip. It has just right amount of palm swell and avoids the finger grooves and index protrusions that so many grips offer today. The texturing offers enough grip without biting into my hand. I really can't differentiate between course and smooth unless the two are side by side. Either texture is fine.

I Wish they were rubberized, But minus that I absolutely cannot believe this grip doesn’t replace the factory A2 style grip it’s grippy . Feels great in the hand and looks great

Does not feel good on a VHS2/Hellion. It feels decent on my AR, dont get me wrong, but if you're trying every grip to improve on the Hellion this aint it. The beavertail hump digs into your hand due to the Hellion not setting the grip at the same angle an AR does. Being that this is clearly marketed as an AR grip and the Hellion taking AR grips is just a coincidence I'm still giving it 5 armadillos.

I’ve tried several different styles and brands of grips. I really like the LaRue grip with the “coarse” texture as it gives an excellent feel and is not too rough.
